While technically centred more towards the South-Eastern coast of Singapore, East Coast Park is more of a park rather than a beach. Strangely, it is pretty rare to see people in swimsuits here even though the shore is a mere 5 metres away.
Sitting across 185 hectares of reclaimed land stretched across 15 kilometres, the park attracts a whole cacophony of individuals from long-distance endurance runners, families who end up eating only at McDonalds, and based on my recent trip, a new breed of parrot-enthusiasts.
